ARTE Y CULTURA SUCRE is a Company owned by the swiss-bolivian family Hofmann. Together Fredy, Elvy and their son Jonny have been working for years in a cooperation which manufactures and markets indigenous art.
With that experience the idea grew to open a gallery and provide modern artists with cultural background of Bolivia and South America the opportunity to show and sell their artworks. The opening of the Gallery “Arte y Cultura Sucre” took place in July 2015.
A lot of artists liked the idea and cooperated to make this project reality. In that manner we are able to present artworks made of ceramic, wood, stone and high quality jewelry.
Also great paintings of well known painters like Mamani Mamani, Eusebio Choque, Reinaldo Chavez and talented youngsters from Peru and Ecuador are participating.
And further more we present: Mario Sarabia, an international well known ceramic artist, Ramon Tito with his basalt- and marble statues, Kirah-Design with her rosewood artworks and the jewelry designers and manufactures Churka Design, Julia Sarabia, Zoe-Design and Rosibel who also take part in our Gallery Arte y Cultura Sucre.
We are always aiming to attract local artists and their recent art. So that we are continually being able to offer new art throughout the art scene.
Renowned painters such as Mamani Mamani, Eusebio Choque, Reinaldo Chavez and talented young painters from Ecuador and Peru are presenting their works.
From Jewelery artists like: Churka Design, Julia Sarabia, Zoe Design y Rosibel Huete are also participating.
Our Wood collection is made solely from residual stumps and branches left behind in a well- managed forests. Kirah carefully designed functional objects that follow the shape and form of the raw material. Local The artisans use ancient techniques passed on from previous generations, like hand-carving and lathing to make these pieces.
Mario Sarabia is an internationally recognized ceramist. Ramon Tito with basalt stone statues and marble statues.
